About Facilities and Space Planning

SOM Facilities and Space Planning team works closely with leadership to identify ways to strategically and effectively utilize various space resources. Whether we are planning a remodel, reconfiguration, renovations or space allocations, maintaining our buildings and keeping the School of Medicine moving forward is our priority.

We also define and negotiate space exchanges between various departments and groups.

Hulen Place to Open in August 2023

The UCR School of Medicine will reopen the Hulen Place Clinic to offer primary care services to the county’s unhoused people and low-income communities. The facility is scheduled to open in August 2023 and is funded by a $600,000 grant from the UniHealth Foundation.
